Introduced in 1968, the East German camo pattern (Strichmuster) was adapted by the East German Army for its range of combat uniforms, field jackets and parkas, as well as for webbing, caps, helmet covers and rucksacks, and was in production until the collapse of the DDR in 1990. Consisting of thick and short, vertical brown rain straits printed on a grey-green background, the East German camouflage, also known as a 'rain camo' or 'line pattern', is simple, mimetic rather than disruptive type of camouflage, and works well in foggy or dark mountainous locations, muddy areas and thick woodland environments. The Military 1st offers selection of clothing and accessories in this classic camouflage, including T-shirts and warm vintage style jackets.
